In our Meet the Winemaker series of events, we taste extraordinary wines with those who made them. There is no better way of understanding how the climate and weather, soil, other vineyard factors, and winemaking all contribute to what we taste in each glass.

Nongcebo “Noni” Langa is chief winemaker at Delheim Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. Noni studied Oenology at Stellenbosch University, and has worked at Dry Creek Vineyards in Sonoma, Hammel in the Pfalz, and Groot Constantia prior or Delheim.

Noni’s talent has been widely recognised in the industry. In 2023, Noni made WineLand Media’s 30 Under 30 list of 30 young professionals recognised for their contributions to the South African wine industry. She also won the prestigious 2023 Diners Club Young Winemaker of the Year Award, the oldest winemakers competition in South Africa at the impressively young age of only 30. 

Of Delheim, Noni says “The vineyards and the distinctive Simonsberg terroir give us the quality grapes needed to make our range.” We look forward to tasting a range of Delheim Wines with Noni and hope you will join us.

If you can no longer make a tasting, and email us at wine@amphoracambridge.com over 48 hours before the tasting, we will issue you a full refund, or you may transfer your booking to a future event or store credit. Within 48h of an event, we cannot provide a refund or booking transfer, but you are welcome to send a friend in your place.
